This is the first time I've painted a monarch butterfly...no doubt it won't be the last! and another wee fantail...finished on this windy but sunny spring day, perfect painting weather.
Since starting this website/blog, I have had so many requests for personal painting tuition.. so...here's the arrangement: if you'd like personal tuition, consultation and hypnotherapy to free your creativity, get in touch to book a session, using the contacts page, Cost is £150 for 3 hours - you bring your own materials and samples of your work to my studio/gallery, and together we will set you on the next stage of your creative path, always for your own positive benefit. I am looking forward to the wonderful progress that we will make for you.
The painting on the left of the piano is based on the early evening view from a motel balcony in the beautiful area around Keri Keri in NZ. I've painted it three times now...this one finished this morning in lovely, but freezing cold, sunshine. Now it has come in to dry and those tall trees nearly reach the ceiling! Today, Ash wednesday, I have been painting my first attempt at tree ferns, this little painting is finished and rather unexpectedly really! I wanted to show the delicate filigree of the fronds against the light...it became an exercise in types of green and things that help to make green. I hope to delve deeper into this country of green. Here it is, propped up in the kitchen. Oh and today I have started drinking green tea!
